The Press Room Manager role is a senior management position within the Calgary Plant. This individual is responsible for providing strategic and tactical guidance and leadership for the Press Room Supervisors and Recycling area. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in the development and implementation of Company policies, ensuring budgeted business objectives related to labour, materials, parts and consumables are achieved, ensuring customer quality expectations are exceeded and providing coaching and feedback to subordinates in order to support their development.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure that the Calgary Plant meets or exceeds the requirements of the Health & Safety legislation and Corporate Best Practices · Provide direction and guidance for the operations of the Press and Recycling departments · Meet or exceed financial goals and objectives, through ongoing cost analysis and controls; · Develop and lead initiatives for team building and employee morale · Provide regular coaching & feedback to help develop the technical knowledge and leadership skills of subordinates · Development of Customer quality programs

Qualifications

· Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety legislation & programs · Demonstrated business & financial management skills · Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills · Negotiating skills · Demonstrated understanding and experience with Environmental issues an asset · 10 + years experience in the Printing industry; 5 + years experience as a supervisor · Demonstrated ability to successfully manage diversity and change.
