As Manager, Wholesale and Specialty Sales, you will evaluate marketing opportunities; evaluate, coordinate and communicate with retailers/wholesalers on special issues and new product launches; support the Newsweek Newsstand Department though sales and marketing data analysis; coordinate the interface between the retailer, newsstand department, and Newsweek’s RDA accounting systems; monitor and evaluate direct to retailer business; manage and make adjustments in the newsstand print order allocation; react to each retailers request for RDA; oversee annual RDA budget; maintain inventory control of RDA agreements; log and analyze for evaluation RDA participation; interact with account executives; and correspond with retailers, wholesalers, national distributors, Newsstand managers and interdepartmental staff. Other responsibilities as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience working in newsstand sales at the wholesaler/national distributor/ retailer level and 1-2 years experience calling on retail buyers and wholesale management promoting sales and improving displays. A college degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and wholesaler computer systems are required with limited application knowledge of MAC preferred.
